What to Make With Overripe Bananas

By Sammi Brondo — July 14, 2026

How many times have bananas gone too ripe on your counter?

I’ll answer that: a lot.

I swear I go back and forth between never buying enough bananas for my family or buying too many that go brown before we can eat them.

Could it be my kids changing their minds on whether they like bananas that week? Hmm…

Regardless, I needed a list of recipes to go to any time I have overripe bananas, and I’m sure that you can use the same type of list.

While you can always slice and freeze your bananas for smoothies, these recipes are a way to take things up just a notch.

And if you can’t make any of them right away, you can also always slice and freeze your bananas, place them in plastic bag in the freezer and then defrost them before baking with them.
