Ingredients
5-6medium-sized fresh peaches
1lemon
1cupall-purpose flour
1/2cupgranulated sugar
1/2teaspoonbaking soda
1/4teaspoonsalt
6tablespoonsmelted butter
Optional: vanilla ice cream to serve
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 F.
Wash the peaches and leave the skin on. Slice into small slices.
Arrange the peaches on the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish, making sure to fully cover the bottom of the dish. The slices can be layered on top of each other if needed (it’s better to have them layered than to have empty space!). Squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lemon over the peaches and set aside.
In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Mix to combine.
Pour the butter into the bowl and mix until the mixture is cohesive.
Sprinkle the flour mixture on top of the peaches, making sure to add some larger clumps throughout.
