These Easy Caramel Apple Grapes are a delicious fall treat made with juicy green grapes dipped in creamy caramel and coated with crunchy graham crackers, peanuts, or colorful sprinkles. These caramel grapes are a fun and easy dessert that tastes just like caramel apples in bite-sized form.

Caramel apples are delicious, but they’re so hard to eat.

I mean really, unless you cut them into slices – a task in itself! – they’re pretty impossible to eat.

And that’s one of many things that I love about these Caramel “Apple” Grapes.

Grapes are, obviously, much easier to eat than apples. And the sweet, plump grape paired with caramel and a crunchy topping is seriously irresistible.

We always have grapes in my house. They’re delicious, they’re full of important nutrients like vitamin K, and they contain antioxidants and other polyphenols.

But they’re also just so versatile. Add them to a grain bowl or a salad. Pair them with peanut butter or chocolate.

And in this case, dip them in caramel for the most insanely satisfying dessert.

They’re juicy, sweet, full of flavor, and just so, so good.

Why You’ll Love These Easy Caramel Apple Grapes

These easy Caramel Apple Grapes are made with just a few simple ingredients: grapes and caramel. That’s it!

While the dipping is slightly tedious, these truly couldn’t be easier to make. Just melt the caramel, dip the grapes in the caramel, and roll them in the topping of your choice. Easy peasy.

I absolutely love keeping these in the fridge in the fall. They make the perfect, easy bite of something sweet when the craving hits.

These grapes are great for an after lunch or dinner dessert or even as a snack. Try these over a bowl of Greek yogurt for a little added protein — snack perfection.

I highly recommend keeping a batch in your fridge too for whenever you’re in the mood for something sweet. They’re simple but so satisfying!

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Grapes: Green grapes work best here! The slight tartness of the grapes pairs so well with the sweet caramel.
  • Caramel candies: Look for any soft caramel candies. Some recipes mix the caramel with heavy cream – I tested this both ways and found that the caramel stayed on significantly better without the heavy cream.
  • Sprinkles: I recommend non-pareil sprinkles. Their small round shape is perfect for the small grapes.
  • Graham crackers: You can crush the graham crackers by putting them in a small plastic bag and using a rolling pin, or by simply using your hands to crumble them.
  • Peanuts: Opt for salted peanuts and give them a rough chop.

Easy Caramel Apple Grapes Tips

  • Use dry grapes: The grapes MUST be bone dry and cold in order for the caramel to stay on. I recommend leaving the grapes in the fridge until you’re ready to use them.
  • Dipping in caramel: The caramel hardens quickly after microwaving. It’s easiest to work in batches, using about 5 caramels at a time.
  • Setting in the fridge: I found it easiest to lay the grapes flat on the baking sheet once they were dipped instead of trying to stand them upright (this also can make the caramel drip down).
  • Storage: Store these Caramel Apple Grapes in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days (or if they make it that long!).

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! Caramel apple grapes can be made several hours or even a day ahead of time. Keep them refrigerated in an airtight container until you’re ready to serve them. For the best texture, I prefer them within the first day or two.

There are so many options! Try mini chocolate chips, crushed pretzels, shredded coconut, chopped pecans, toffee pieces, or crushed cookies. You can also mix and match toppings to make a caramel grape platter for a party or fall gathering.

Yes. The toothpicks make the grapes much easier to dip and give them that mini caramel-apple feel, but they aren’t required. You can use a small fork or dipping tool instead, then transfer each grape to parchment paper to set.
