Cook the edamame in the microwave. Follow the package instructions - most bags recommend cooking on high for 5-6 minutes. Pour into a bowl and let cool.
In a saucepan, add the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, and maple syrup. Stir to combine and cook on medium for 5 minutes, until everything is fully incorporated.
Pour the mixture over the edamame. Toss to combine so that all of the edamame is fully covered.
Drizzle with a little bit of honey and top with sesame seeds.
Notes
*For less spice, use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of chili garlic sauce. For a spicierĀ edamame, use 2 teaspoons. I recommend starting slow and tasting the sauce to adjust to your liking before adding it to theĀ edamame.
