This air fryer pizza comes together in 15 minutes, flat. It’s the perfect lunch when you want something quick and delicious – just for yourself.
Welcome to my new series: easy meals for busy days.
Because we’re all busy, but we all still need to eat.
And in the thick of busyness, food should not be something that makes you even busier. Having super easy recipes to go to and simple meals on hand ensures that you have one less thing to think about. And no excuse to skip meals 🙂
This air fryer pizza is ideal. It’s made in 15 minutes from start to finish and is totally customizable.
First, you’ll cook the crust in the air fryer until it’s nice and crispy. Then you’ll add the tomato sauce, cheese and any toppings of your choosing.
I like adding pepperoni for some protein and some chopped veggies for some added nutrients. But add whatever sounds good to you!
And as a bonus: to make this meal even faster, try using pre-cooked dough instead of rolling and cooking your own pizza dough.
Prepare the dough and spread the sauce
Cut pizza dough into 4 equal parts. Roll into a thin, round shape to make the pizza crust (if not using, place the remaining dough into the freezer for future use).
Line the air fryer with parchment paper and place the dough on the parchment paper. Cook on 375 F for 3 minutes. Flip the crust and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Spread the tomato sauce over the pizza crust.
Add toppings
Add cheese and your toppings of choice.
I used onions, pepperoni, green peppers, and olives.
Cook in the air fryer
Place the pizza back on the parchment paper in the air fryer. Place an air fryer rack on top so that the toppings don’t blow away. Cook on 375 F for 4-5 minutes.
Notes
- Air fryer rack: Make sure to place the air fryer rack on top of the pizza. Because air fryers cook food by blowing hot air around, the toppings may blow around if not held down by the rack. I also like to add cheese both under and on top of the toppings to hold them down a bit.
- Dough: I used a store-bought pizza dough and rolled it out until it was super thin. To save even more time, you can use pre-cooked pizza dough and put it right into the air fryer. Or, if you’re feeling up to it, you can also make your own dough!
- Storage: One of the things I love about this recipe is that you can make it right before eating for just 1 meal. But if you want to make a bigger pizza, or make extra, store any pizza in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
