Peanut Butter Cup Yogurt Pops

These Yogurt Pops are an easy, fun, and delicious sweet bite that you’ve got to keep stashed in your freezer.

One of the biggest tenants of my nutrition philosophy is dessert.

Not only do I recommend allowing all foods unconditionally, but also, if you love dessert I recommend eating it – often.

This does a few things for your relationship with food and for your overall health.

Firstly, it helps take dessert off a pedestal. Instead of dessert being something overly tempting that isn’t allowed, it becomes just another food that you like to eat.

We naturally want what we can’t have. So taking away that “can’t have” aspect of dessert can be really powerful.

Secondly, eating dessert often helps with cravings. It may sound obvious, but the best way to satisfy a craving is to eat the food you’re eating.

And if you’re craving something sweet, but don’t allow yourself to eat something sweet… not only will you eventually end up eating it (and eventually, you will!), but it will take a lot of that food to feel satisfied.

Allowing and eating dessert often lets you feel satisfied in a comfortable and controllable way.

And lastly, dessert is just delicious. And so are these Peanut Butter Cup Yogurt Pops.

They’re ridiculously easy to make and such a fun dessert to have on hand. They make a delicious snack too!

Prep ingredients

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Get plain Greek yogurt, creamy peanut butter, honey, chopped peanuts, chocolate chips and coconut oil.

Add ingredients to bowl

Add yogurt, peanut butter, and honey into a bowl.

Mix until smooth.

Mix ingredients until smooth.

Spoon and freeze

Place yogurt mixture by the spoonful onto the baking sheet.

Using the back of the spoon, shape each dollop into a round, circular shape.

Stick popsicle stick firmly in the center of each yogurt round.

Place in the freezer to harden for at least 1 hour.

Melt chocolate

Once hardened, melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in the microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds..

Dip in chocolate

Remove the yogurt pops from the parchment paper and dip into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to ensure they’re evenly covered.

Freeze again

Place back on parchment paper and in the freezer to harden again.

Garnish

Optional to add flaky salt, sprinkles, or more chopped nuts on top of chocolate.

Enjoy

Enjoy for dessert!

Notes

  • Yogurt: Full fat Greek yogurt will work best here. For a sweeter inside, try a vanilla flavored yogurt or add more honey.
  • Peanut butter: Because honey is added for sweetness, an unsweetened peanut butter works best. You can also omit for the honey and use a sweetened peanut butter though. This recipe is truly no fail – make it your own!
  • Chocolate chips: I used semisweet chocolate chips. If you’re a fan, try dark chocolate chips instead.
  • Coconut oil: Coconut oil is important to help thin the chocolate when it melts. A thinner chocolate will be easier to handle when dipping the yogurt pops.
  • Mix ins: Feel free to skip the chopped peanuts if you’re not into them. I love the crunch they add. You can also add different things on top instead of flaky salt, like sprinkles, an extra chocolate drizzle, or more chopped peanuts.
  • Storage: Store these yogurt pops in the freezer. They’ll stay good for about a month!
